Description & Rules

Basic Rules
1. The event shall be conducted with individual participation only.
2. The competition will consist of two rounds:
β—‹ Online Eliminator
β—‹ Offline Final Round
3. Performance in the online round will be used only for shortlisting and will not carry forward to the final round.
4. All decisions taken by the organizing committee and the Mathematics Society Council shall be final and binding.

Round 1: Online Eliminator
Platform
● The first round will be conducted on Unstop.
Format
● The round will be an individual online quiz.
● The quiz will consist of objective-type questions. These questions will be basic mathematics, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, etc.
The questions will be designed to test analytical thinking, logical aptitude, and problem-solving ability, rather than advanced or specialized mathematical knowledge.
Qualification Criteria
● Based on the cumulative scores, the Top 30 participants will qualify for the offline round.

Offline Round
Stage 1: Qualifier Round
Nature of the Round
● This stage shall be an eliminatory round conducted in offline mode.
● All participants shall compete on an individual basis.
Stage 2: Auction Round (Team Formation Round)
Nature of the Round
● This stage shall be conducted in offline mode.
● No participant shall be eliminated during this round.
● The primary objective of this stage is team formation for the final event through a structured auction mechanism.
Selection of Team Captains
● Based on performance in Stage 1 (Qualifier Round), the top three participants shall be designated as Team Captains.
● These captains shall lead their respective teams in the final stage of the event.
Stage 3: Capture the Flag (Final Round)
Nature of the Round
● This stage shall be conducted in offline mode.
● It shall serve as the final competitive round of the event.
● Participation shall be team-based, with teams formed during Stage 2 (Auction Round).
