CONFERENCE: THE 2ND ISCOMICE 2024 “ACCELERATE THE GROWTH OF QUALITY TOURISM THROUGH THE MICE INDUSTRY”
Depok (1/7) – The MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) is organizing the 2nd International Scientific Conference of MICE (ISCOMICE) at The Margo Hotel, Depok, on Tuesday (23/7). The conference’s theme is “Accelerate The Growth of Quality Tourism Through The MICE Industry.”
Five keynote speakers will be featured at this international conference: Prof. Dr. Noel Scott, Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia; Dr. Kandappan Balasubramanian, Associate Professor at the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events, Taylor’s University, Malaysia; Agustini Rahayu, Director of Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy; Fransiskus Xaverius Teguh, Director of the Labuan Bajo Authority Implementing Body, Flores; and Imam Syafganti, MICE Study Programme Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, Principal Researcher MICE Center Politeknik Negeri, Jakarta.
The 2nd ISCOMICE event aims to provide a discussion platform for stakeholders in the MICE and tourism industries to address the growth and development of the tourism industry at regional and international levels. The discussion outcomes will be highly beneficial for academics, industry professionals, and the tourism community participating in the event. Scientists will play a role in identifying important research subjects in applied events, destinations, the MICE industry, and tourism.
During the parallel sessions, researchers will present their papers following a review process by reputable reviewers from various sectors within the MICE industry, known for their high credibility and numerous published journals.
The three best papers will have the opportunity to be published in journals indexed by Sinta 2 to Sinta 5. Other papers, after submission and presentation, will be published in proceedings indexed by WoS. The published research results are expected to benefit society and the industry.
ISCOMICE 2024 is still accepting research article submissions. We welcome original research articles on various MICE elements, such as Event Marketing & Technology, Business Events, Event Destination Venues, Operations & Management, Tourism & Hospitality, and the MICE Sector. Submissions must be relevant to the conference theme and contribute to advancing knowledge in the MICE field. Registration can be done on the website https://iscomice.id/
