Environmental Exhibition
SIES Junior College of Commerce, Nerul, hosted its annual intercollegiate environmental exhibition, “Srishti 2025 – Waste to Wealth,” on Saturday, 27 September 2025, at the college campus. The exhibition aimed to showcase innovative solutions for sustainable development, encourage creative ideas, and raise awareness about environmental conservation among students.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr Sameer Shah (Wipro) as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by members of the college management, including Dr S. V. Viswanathan (Treasurer, SIES Society). Additionally, Mr Vishal Gada and Dr Koel Roychoudhuri inspired the students with their motivating words.
The valedictory function was honoured by the presence of the college’s distinguished alumnus, Mr Aditya Subramaniam, who served as the Chief Guest.
To ensure fair judgment and high-quality evaluation, an esteemed panel of judges was invited, including Dr Smita Jadhav (Retired Environmentalist, Kirti College) and Dr Seema Das (Retired Professor, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai).
This year’s exhibition featured enthusiastic participation from 40 colleges, with 52 teams comprising a total of 129 students and teachers presenting their projects. The theme, “Waste to Wealth,” was explored through innovative models and projects that demonstrated creative methods of recycling and repurposing waste into valuable resources.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony.

Third Prize: Ramsai Thakur Vidyamandir
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Vice-Principal, Mrs Sunita Ambhore, who expressed her gratitude to all the guests and participants.
Once again, Srishti 2025 proved to be a dynamic platform that fostered innovation and creativity while instilling in young people a strong sense of responsibility toward building a greener and more sustainable future.
