Agenda & Takeaways
This is a registration link to participate in the webinar organised by Chintan Research Foundation (CRF).
The webinar will connect India’s National Critical Minerals Mission (NCMM) with European Union’s (EU) evolving economic security and supply-chain resilience agenda, with the explicit goal of identifying practical, near-term cooperation pathways. The session will probe where India and EU are aligned, where they diverge, and what those differences imply for workable partnerships. The session will examine areas of convergence and divergence between India and the EU, and assess the implications of these differences for the design of viable and mutually reinforcing partnership frameworks.
- Europe is prioritising “de-risking” and resilience through diversification, trusted partnerships, sustainability, traceability, and risk mitigation tools
- India is pursuing a dual strategy: (i) securing critical access of energy-transition minerals from trusted geographies to circumvent geopolitically motivated supply chains (ii) building domestic capability across exploration, processing, and manufacturing ecosystems, with strong development and industrial policy imperatives.
In this light, the webinar will translate these respective strategies into a strategic cooperation map between the two regions. Experts from India and EU spanning across government bodies, private sector, think-tank will grace the discussion.
