International Conference organised by SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (Autonomous) and Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University)

SAMANVAY 2025, an International Conference jointly organised by SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (Autonomous) and Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), was held on September 26–27, 2025, under the theme “Transforming Learning: Synergising Collaboration, Innovation, Consultation, and Research Design.” The two-day conference provided a platform for academicians, industry experts, researchers, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue that bridged the gap between education and industry while fostering innovation and multidisciplinary learning. With keynote addresses, research paper presentations, and interactive sessions, the conference highlighted the necessity of aligning higher education with the rapidly evolving global landscape..

Principal Dr Koel Roychoudhury, during the inauguration, underscored SIES Trust’s commitment to providing quality education for all and engaging in industry partnerships to improve student capabilities and employability. Chief Guest Mr Yogesh Sharma, EVP and Head-PSU Channel at Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund, delivered his keynote address on bridging the gap between the National Education Policy (NEP) and industry needs and noted improvements in graduate employability. He stressed the need for internships, certified skills, and exposure to real-world applications.

Day 2 began with opening remarks by Ms Sugandha Jha, Vice Principal, who emphasised the collaborative spirit of the event. Our speaker, Dr Samriti Mahajan, New Delhi Institute of Management, delivered the first keynote on artificial intelligence in education, highlighting its role in mentorship, learner engagement, and balanced integration with human potential.

The second speaker, economist Dr Firdous Ahmad Malik from the University of People, USA, centred his address on financial markets, sustainable development, and the urgency of green financing as a foundation for long-term economic growth. Research paper presentations were conducted on both days and were chaired by CA Muskaan Kukreja, Assistant Director, Somaiya Vidya Vihar University.

The chief guest for the valedictory session, Prof. Sriman Kumar Bhattacharyya, founding Vice Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University, spoke about NEP 2020’s transformative vision for multidisciplinary learning, flexible curricula, and research-driven innovation. Drawing on his expertise, he emphasised the creation of globally competent graduates while preserving Indian values. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Divya Nair, Conference Convenor.

SAMANVAY 2025 stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, inspiring researchers, educators, and students alike to push the boundaries of knowledge toward innovation and future-ready education, making a constructive contribution to India’s higher education ecosystem, and was made possible through the unwavering support and encouragement of the college management, whose vision and guidance provided the foundation for this academic endeavour.
